What Is the Minimum Dining Area Size for 4 People?

A rectangular table that is 36" x 48" or a round table that is 42" or 48" in diameter is the smallest size that can comfortably seat four people. You also need to leave at least 36 inches of space between the table and any walls or other furniture so that people can pull out chairs and walk around.
